Votive Mass of Saint Joseph Today
20 October 2010
This morning, being a ferial Wednesday, we had the Votive Mass of Saint Joseph. Why?
This past week, we were in need of funds to pay for more suitable windows for the oratory of the monastery. As things were, during Holy Mass and adoration, we had a clear view into the parking lot and street through the windows that flank the altar. Not the best arrangement. I chose plain honey-coloured glass (in various intensities) to replace the panes. Perfect. And then I asked Saint Joseph to take care of paying for them. And he did! Within a week’s time. Thank you, beloved Saint Joseph!

Works every time, Father!
Did you know that Mother Cabrini called San Giuseppe “La provvidenza?” He always lives up to this title.
I remember reading this in an old, battered prayer book, published by the Sisters Adorers of the Precious Blood many years ago. I learned it by heart as a little boy and have never forotten it:
“Go to Joseph in thy joy, thou wilt rejoice the more.
Go to Joseph in thy grief, when death knocks at thy door.
Go to Joseph no matter when, thy refuge he will be. He holds the key to Jesus’ Heart – Its treasures are for thee!”
I have been praying to St. Joseph on and off for a year or so. My husband and I are unemployed and greatly need his help. I pray that and hope
that he will answer our prayer for suitable employment.
Thats a beautiful litle prayer Brendano. There is a little prayer I remembered from the prayerbook of the same Sisters I believe:
“Heart of Jesus, I adore Thee,
heart of Mary, I implore thee,
heart of Joseph, meek and just,
in these three hearts I place my trust”
Thank you St Joseph for all your intercessions for the amazing healing. Thank You God and Lord Jesus for everything
