ENTRANCE ANTIPHON
MR
I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband (Rev 21:2).
Or:
Behold the tabernacle of God among men!
He will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself with them shall be their God (Rev 21:3).
COLLECT
O God, who out of chosen and living stones
prepare an eternal dwelling for your majesty;
increase within your Church
the spirit of grace which you have given,
so that your faithful people may assemble in ever greater numbers
for the building up of the heavenly Jerusalem.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.

GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
For the holy Church of God throughout the world;
that the Bride of Christ may be the joyful mother of many children,
adorers of the Father in spirit and in truth,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For the bishop of Rome, Benedict, our Pope,
on this Dedication festival of his cathedral church;
that he may rejoice in the unity of the whole Body of Christ,
assembled in the Holy Spirit, to the glory of the Father,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For the leaders of nations;
that they may respect the right of believers everywhere
to assemble for worship in freedom of conscience and peace of heart,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For all who suffer in body, in mind, or in spirit;
that they may experience the living Temple of the Body of Christ
as a place where beauty is at home,
a place of divine hospitality, of healing, and of mercy,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For ourselves;
that we may grow in love for the Temple of the Body of Christ,
and in zeal for the praise of the Father’s glory
in the sacred liturgy and in the secret temple of the heart,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
COLLECT AT THE GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
God of holiness and majesty,
who have brought us not to what may not be touched,
nor to blazing fire, gloom, tempest, and trumpet blast,
but to the living and indestructible Temple
that is the glorious Body of your Christ:
mercifully grant that, filled with the good things of your house,
we may offer you here the worship in spirit and in truth that you seek
and rejoice, even now,
in the splendours of the heavenly Jerusalem, our true home.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
OFFERTORY ANTIPHON
GR
O Lord God, in the simplicity of my heart
I have joyfully offered all these things;
and I have seen with great joy your people who are here present:
O God of Israel, keep such thoughts
in the heart of your people (1 Par 29:17–18).
PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS
Receive, we beseech you, O Lord, the gifts we offer,
that those who pray to you
may experience the power of these sacraments
and obtain what they desire.
Through Christ our Lord.
PREFACE
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
By your bountiful gift,
you have deigned to dwell in this house of prayer,
so that, warming us by the unfailing help of your grace,
you might fashion us into a temple of the Holy Spirit,
shimmering with the splendour of a life acceptable to you.
By means of buildings that eye can see
is revealed the Church, the Bride of Christ,
made holy by your ceaseless workings,
until, as the joyful mother of countless children,
she takes her place amidst your glory in heaven.
And therefore, with all the Saints and Angels,
we praise you together, and endlessly proclaim:
COMMUNION ANTIPHON
MR
“My house shall be called a house of prayer,”
says the Lord.
“In it all who ask will receive,
and he who seeks will find,
and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Mt 21:13).
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
O God who willed
that the Jerusalem which is above
should be foreshadowed for us in the sign of your Church on earth.
grant, we beseech you,
that, by partaking of this sacrament,
we may become the temple of your grace,
and be admitted to enter the dwelling place of your glory.
Through Christ our Lord.
