I remember today Sister Marie–Willibrorda, O.S.B. of the Monastère Saint–Joseph in France and my friends, the Poor Clare nuns of Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
ENTRANCE ANTIPHON
GR
Let your priests, O Lord, be clothed with justice,
and let your saints rejoice:
for your servant David’s sake,
turn not away the face of your Christ (Ps 131:9-10).
Ps. O Lord, remember David, and all his meekness (Ps 131:1).
COLLECT
O God, the Saviour of all,
who sent your bishop Willibrord as a pilgrim for Christ
to proclaim the good news to many peoples
and confirm them in their faith,
help us also, we beseech you,
to witness to your steadfast love by word and deed
so that your Church may increase and grow strong in holiness.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.

GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
For the Church in Holland and throughout the world;
that she may rejoice in the harvest sown
by Saint Willibrord and by all those who, like him,
consider everything as loss for the sake of Christ,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For the leaders of Europe and of all nations;
that they may open their eyes
to the wisdom and light of the Gospel,
and so set their feet on the road to peace,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For those who have suffered the loss
of family, homeland, language, and culture;
for those mourning the death of loved ones;
and for those grieving the loss of things precious and dear to them;
that they may be granted the supreme good of knowing Christ
in whom every loss is gain,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
For this monastery and for its friends and oblates;
that, called to be missionaries of the new evangelization,
we may be filled with the knowledge of Christ
and spread it, according to the gifts we have received,
to the Lord we pray: Christ, hear us. R. CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.
COLLECT AT THE GENERAL INTERCESSIONS
O Lord our God,
who call whom you will and send them where you choose,
we thank you for sending Saint Willibrord
to be an apostle to the Low Countries,
to turn them from the worship of idols
to serve you, the living God;
preserve us, we entreat you,
from the temptation to exchange the perfect freedom of your service for servitude to false gods and to idols of our own devising.
Through Christ our Lord.
OFFERTORY ANTIPHON
GR
My truth and my mercy shall be with him:
and in my name shall his horn be exalted (Ps 88:25).
PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS
Look upon the gifts we offer,
Almighty God,
on this feast of Saint Willibrord,
and grant that, as we celebrate
the mysteries of the Passion of the Lord,
we may imitate what we enact.
Through Christ our Lord.
PREFACE
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always, here and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
through Christ our Lord.
Christ has never ceased to call his disciples;
he sends them out to bring salvation to the nations
by the light of the Gospel.
For this work, Saint Willibrord was set apart by the Spirit;
in faith and obedience he went to peoples far away.
You called him to be all things to everyone
as a minister of your word, O most High,
so that in your sight the nations might become
a holy sacrifice acceptable to you.
And so, with him, and all your saints
we join to sing of your great glory
in this, their joyful hymn of praise:
COMMUNION ANTIPHON
MR
Blessed is that servant
who is found on the watch when his lord comes:
Amen, I say to you,
he will set him over all his goods (Mt 24:46-47).
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
By the power of this mystery, O Lord,
strengthen the faith of your servants in the truth,
that, in word and in deed,
they may everywhere confess the faith
for which Saint Willibrord ceaselessly laboured
and spent his very life.
Through Christ our Lord.
