It is very meet and right,
\njust and availing unto salvation,
\nthat always and everywhere we should give thanks unto Thee,
\nO Lord, holy Father, almighty, everlasting God,
\nthrough Jesus Christ our Lord:
\nWho is the true and eternal Pontiff,
\nthe only spotless priest without sin,
\nby whose Blood the hearts of the faithful are cleansed:
\nWhom, by His own institution, we do immolate
\nnot only through offerings for the sins of the people,
\nbut also for our own offenses.
\nThrough Whom the Angels praise,
\nthe Dominations adore,
\nthe Powers fear Thy majesty.
\nThe Heavens and the Heavenly Virtues
\nand the blessed Seraphim
\ntogether sing Thy praise with exultation.
\nWith whom, we beseech Thee,
\nBid that our voices also be admitted,
\nhumbly praising Thee, and saying:
