\nAnd although I am about to withdraw, I remain close to all of you in prayer, and I am sure that you too will be close to me, even if I am hidden from the world. (Pope Benedict XVI, 14 February 2013)<\/big><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The call to adoration and reparation is, at the same time,
\na call to silence, and to hiddenness,
\nand to separation from the world.
\nIt was when Our Lord Jesus Christ was lifted up from the earth,
\nand held in the narrow enclosure of the Cross,
\nthat He exercised His priesthood supremely
\nby offering Himself in sacrifice to His Father.
\nSuspended upon the Cross,
\nHe entered into the silence and hiddenness of the Holy of Holies
\nand, there, He offered Himself as Victim to the Father.
\nThe mystery of what He was doing was hidden,
\neven from the eyes of those looking on.
\nHis disfigured Face, and bruised and bloodied Body
\ndisplayed nothing of the glory that shone upon Him
\nin this, the Hour of His sacrifice.
\nEven His most holy Mother,
\nwho entered the Holy of Holies with Him
\nto make her offering in union with His,
\nsaw and felt nothing of the Divine Glory
\ninto which His oblation was received by the Father,
\nin the Holy Spirit.
\nThe experience of the Mother of Sorrows
\nwas one of silence, and hiddenness,
\nand separation from all that surrounded her in that Hour.
\nMary is the model of all who would unite themselves
\nto the oblation of Jesus as victims.
\nWords are useless.
\nOne must enter in, beyond the veil.
\nOne must leave behind and outside
\nall consideration for earthly things.
\nIn silence, in hiddenness, and in solitude
\nis Christ’s one oblation made perfect in souls.
\nConsent, then, to become silent.
\nAccept to disappear.
\nCherish hiddenness.
\nLeave all behind
\nto enter with Christ the Priest
\ninto the inner sanctuary of His oblation to the Father.
\nEspecially now,
\nin the light of the Holy Father’s personal choice,
\nI see clearly that a monastery of adoration and reparation
\nmust be characterized by silence,
\nand by hiddenness,
\nand by disappearance into the inner sanctuary beyond the veil.
\nThere, and only there,
\nwill souls be able to be offered in union with
\nthe victimhood and priesthood of Jesus,
\nin a way that gives immense glory to the Father
\nand saves souls.
\nLearn from the contemplation of the Sacred Host
\nhow to be silent,
\nhow to disappear,
\nhow to leave the world.
\nLook at Our Lord in the Sacrament of His redeeming love.
\nIs He not silent?
\nIs He not hidden?
\nIs He not separated from all things and, at the same time,
\npresent to all things?
\nThis is the pattern of our life here.
