\"Preciosisima<\/a><\/span>Again, this year, for my friend, Father J.K., C.PP.S., on this Feast of the Most Precious Blood.<\/em><\/p>\n

Priest of Jesus Christ,
\nyou are forever marked by His Blood.
\nThe Blood of the Lamb flows through you:
\nIt sanctifies your touch;
\nIt comes to flower on your lips;
\nIt purifies and quickens all that you do
\nin your sacred ministry.<\/p>\n

In the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
\nyou offer the Blood of Christ to the Father.
\nIn the Sacrament of Penance
\nyou apply the healing balm of the Precious Blood to souls
\nand wash them in It’s laver.<\/p>\n

Your purity, priest of Christ,
\nis itself the fruit of your intimacy with the Precious Blood.
\nIt manifests the power of the Precious Blood,
\nmaking you, in spite of all your weaknesses,
\nvictorious over the world, the flesh, and the devil.<\/p>\n

Cultivate, then, a strong a lively devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Christ.
\nApply it mystically — that is, through your priestly intercession —
\nto souls in need of healing, deliverance, and inner cleansing.
\nYou are the guardian of the Blood of the Lamb,
\nresponsible for It being treated with the utmost reverence and adoration
\nin Holy Mass and, in particular, at the distribution of Holy Communion
\nunder both species.<\/p>\n

Preach often on the power of the Precious Blood
\nreceived in Holy Communion.
\nTell souls that the Most Precious Blood of Jesus is
\nthe price of our redemption.
\nthe salvation of the world,
\nthe glory of the Holy Sacrifice,
\nthe vesture of Christ’s priesthood,
\nthe beauty of His altar,
\nthe splendour of His saints,
\nthe defeat of Satan,
\nthe reconciliation of sinners,
\nthe healing of those wounded by the evil serpent,
\nthe shining purity of priests,
\nthe life of those who follow the Lamb,
\nthe peace of the troubled,
\nthe remedy for every ill,
\nthe soul’s desire,
\nthe astonishment of the angels,
\nand the joy of the Church.<\/p>\n

Priest of Jesus Christ,
\nyou are His minister, set apart to handle and to dispense His Precious Blood.
\nIn making you the minister of His Blood,
\nJesus entrusts you with His Life,
\nso that through you His life might be communicated to souls.
\nYou are the guardian and dispenser of His Blood:
\nheaven’s greatest treasure and the salvation of the universe.<\/p>\n

He is the Lamb once slain Who lives forever.
\nHis Blood flows still from the wound in His Side;
\nIt is the stream that irrigates the Church
\nand brings health to souls weakened by sin.
\nCultivate an intense devotion to the Precious Blood.
\nThe Blood of Jesus is the power of your priesthood
\nand, where His Blood is, there too is the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

The Holy Spirit is communicated most richly in the mystery of the Blood.
\nWhen you receive the Blood of Jesus
\nyou receive an infusion of the Holy Spirit;
\nthe Life of Jesus courses in your veins,
\nmaking you with Him one Priest, one Victim,
\none Son eternally beloved of the Father.
\nSpeak of the power of the Blood of Christ
\nto heal the soul’s wounds,
\nto bring peace to troubled hearts,
\nto reconcile enemies,
\nto transform sinners into saints,
\nto lift those degraded by vice into the pure and holy happiness of virtue.<\/p>\n

Invoke the power of the Blood of Christ to defeat Satan,
\nto liberate souls from bondage to sin,
\nand to establish peace where there is unrest and disquiet.
\nHave a boundless confidence in the might of the Precious Blood.
\nWheresoever you invoke the Blood of Jesus,
\nthere will He establish the peace and joy of His Kingdom,
\ncasting out the spirits of darkness who labour incessantly
\nto bring about the ruin of families,
\nand of communities,
\nand of every attempt to overcome evil with good
\nby living in prayer and in charity.<\/p>\n

The Precious Blood is the most potent remedy
\nfor the ills that cause so much suffering in the world;
\nand that remedy has been given to you, priest of Jesus Christ, in a limitless way.
\nYou are a physician of souls,
\nsent out to bring healing to the brokenhearted
\nand freedom to those enslaved by sin.<\/p>\n

When the Precious Blood of Jesus touches the lips of a priest,
\nit purifies them of sin,
\nand descending into his heart, makes him fit for the Work of God.
\nReflect on the immense grace that is yours, day after day, at the altar.
\nYou are marked by Christ’s Most Precious Blood in the eyes of the Father.
\nThat same mark of the Precious Blood terrifies demons,
\nand It accredits you to do all that Christ commands you to do
\nthrough His Holy Church.<\/p>\n

Priest beloved of the Heart of Jesus,
\nadore His Precious Blood.
\nMake known It’s power.
\nTeach souls to have the greatest reverence for the mystery of the Blood.
\nCall down upon yourself and upon souls
\nthe protection and infinite merits of the Blood of the Lamb.<\/p>\n

The Blood of Jesus Christ is fire in the soul of the priest who acknowledges It’s power.
\nBe the priest of His Precious Blood,
\njust as you are the priest of His Heart,
\nand of His Eucharistic Face.
\nThese are the mysteries by which you are sanctified
\nand configured to Him,
