Saint Berch\u00e1n&#8217;s disciples also first compiled the <em>Leabhar Breac<\/em> as a devotional work.<\/small> <small>Saint Berch\u00e1n is commended in the Donegal Martyrology as one of the four prophets of Ireland, ranking with Saints Columcille, Moling the Perfect, and Brendan of Birr.
