Today, being the First Friday of the month, was also a day of Eucharistic adoration.<br \/>\nThe day was made even more special by eight year old Marcelo&#8217;s First Confession.  After the Gospel Marcelo donned the white garment recalling his Baptism, and received a lighted candle.  Marcelo participates in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgsusa.org\/\">Catechesis of the Good Shepherd<\/a>, a Montessori inspired preparation for the sacraments, at Saint Mary&#8217;s Church in New Haven, Connecticut.  Marcelo will be receiving his First Holy Communion on Sunday.<\/em><br \/>\nCreator Spirit! Pow&#8217;r Divine!<br \/>\nCome! visit all the souls of thine;<br \/>\nWith Heav&#8217;n-descending grace pervade<br \/>\nThe breasts which Thou Thyself hast made.<br \/>\nThou who art named the Paraclete!<br \/>\nRich gift from God&#8217;s own mercy seat!<br \/>\nO Fount of Life, and Fire of Love!<br \/>\nSoul cleansing Unction from above!<br \/>\nThou in thy Sevenfold Glories bright!<br \/>\nThou Finger of God&#8217;s Hand of Might!<br \/>\nWho dost o&#8217;er lips the timely store<br \/>\nOf speech, the Father&#8217;s promise pour!<br \/>\nThy light to every sense impart;<br \/>\nDiffuse thy love through every heart;<br \/>\nThe weakness of our mortal flesh<br \/>\nWith thy unfailing strength refresh.<br \/>\nDrive far away th&#8217;assailing foe,<br \/>\nAnd all thy holy peace bestow;<br \/>\nSo thou be our preventing Guide,<br \/>\nNo mischief can our steps betide.<br \/>\nThrough Thee may we the Father learn,<br \/>\nAnd know the Ever-Blessed Son;<br \/>\nSweet Spirit! so of Both receive,<br \/>\nThee! as we evermore believe.<br \/>\nPraise to the Father, as is meet,<br \/>\nThe Son and Holy Paraclete!<br \/>\nSo may the Son to every heart,<br \/>\nThe Holy Spirit&#8217;s grace impart.
