As we mentioned in our previous post<\/a>, today marks 100 years of the canonisation of Saint Th\u00e9r\u00e8se.<\/p>\n

One of the monks of our monastery compiled a list of other anniversaries for 2025. While some of them are past, it is delightful to rejoice in the sanctoral providence of God. May He be blessed in all His designs!<\/p>\n

Some Significant Anniversaries in 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n

January 22: <\/b>The 175th anniversary of death of St. Vincent Pallotti, an ardent lover of the Queen of Heaven, his \u201cmore than most beloved Mother.\u201d Also \u2013 interestingly \u2013 the 175th anniversary of death of another great apostle of Jesus and Mary, Bl. William Joseph Chaminade. \u201cThere is a gift of the habitual presence of Our Lady,\u201d he wrote, \u201cjust as there is a gift of the habitual presence of God.\u201d Also, the 175th anniversary of death of Ven. Maria Teresa Spinelli, Foundress of the Congregation of Augustinian Sisters, Servants of Jesus and Mary\u2026 One Saint,<\/i> one Blessed, <\/i>and one Venerable<\/i> in one day \u2013 not bad at all!
\nJanuary 24: <\/b>The centenary of death of the Servant of God, Guy de Fontgalland, who died at a tender age (11), as Our Lord had foretold during his First Communion. \u201cThe Blessed Virgin told me,\u201d he said to his mother, \u201cthat from your arms I would go to Hers.\u201d
\nJanuary 30:<\/b> The 150th anniversary of death of Dom Prosper Gu\u00e9ranger, the founder of Solesmes, whose many-volume work, \u201cThe Liturgical Year,\u201d was read in the household of St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se. No holy reading, no sanctity (oftentimes).<\/p>\n

Bl. Elizabeth Canori-Mora<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

February 5:<\/b> The 200th anniversary of death of Bl. Elisabeth Canori-Mora, who, like Bl. Anna Maria Taigi, was an extraordinary mystic and mother living in Rome.<\/p>\n

Venerable Maria Teresa Quevedo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

April 8: <\/b>The 75th anniversary of death of Ven. Maria Teresa Quevedo, a model of Th\u00e9r\u00e8sian simplicity and Marian devotion, who was taken to Heaven by the \u201cQueen of [her] heart\u201d in time for the proclamation of the Dogma of the Assumption, as she had prophesied to her Carmelite Sisters during recreation. A great role model for all in general and for young girls in particular.
\nMay 17:<\/b> The centenary of St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se\u2019s canonisation.
\nMay 25:<\/b> The 200th anniversary of the birth of the Servant of God, Marie-V\u00e9ronique du C\u0153ur de J\u00e9sus (Caroline Lioger), mystic and Foundress of the Victims of the Sacred Heart.
\nMay 31: <\/b>The centenary of the canonisation of St. John Eudes (\u201cthe marvel of his age,\u201d to quote M. Olier), as well as St. John Vianney, who, having suffered an enormous amount, never complained, thereby indirectly highlighting his sanctity. \u201cThe Saints,\u201d he said, \u201cnever complain.\u201d
\nMay\/June\/July:<\/b> The 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea.
\nJune 4: <\/b>The centenary of death of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati (soon to be canonised).
\nJune 7: <\/b>The centenary of death of Ven. Matt Talbot, a former alcoholic. An acquaintance of his, Mr John Gunning, confessed the following during the Enquiry into the former\u2019s sanctity: \u201cOne day he told me that he had read of a devotion which lifted him from earth to Heaven.\u201d He was referring to True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary<\/em>, as explicated by St. Louis de Montfort.
\nJune 14: <\/b>The centenary of death of Ven. Meinrad Eugster, O.S.B.
\nJune 16:<\/b> The 350th anniversary of the \u201cGreat Revelation\u201d given to St. Margaret Mary, which begins with the well-known words: \u201cBehold this Heart Which has so loved men\u2026\u201d
\nJune 24:<\/b> The 75th anniversary of St. Maria Goretti\u2019s canonisation.
\nJuly 9: <\/b>The 75th anniversary of St. Mariana de Jes\u00fas Paredes Flores\u2019 canonisation.
\nOctober 4: <\/b>The 75th anniversary of death of the Servant of God, Santina Campana, who, like St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se, offered her life for priests and missionaries.
\nOctober 5:<\/b> The centenary of death of St. Anna Sch\u00e4ffer, the German stigmatist, to whom St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se appeared in a dream on August 13, 1916, telling her, as she held her hand, that she can practice the virtue of fortitude from her bed.
\nOctober 7:<\/b> The 150th anniversary of death of Ven. Marie de Sales Chappuis. In 1871, in a letter to a confidante, she foretold the triumph of the Church. As to when this would come about, she remained silent (a very prudent course of action).
\nOctober 11: <\/b>The centenary of death of the Servant of God, Renata Nezzo, who said that, after having read the 11th\u00a0chapter of St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se\u2019s autobiography, Story of a Soul, <\/i>there is no wonder that St. Th\u00e9r\u00e8se asks for a legion of little victims of love. She sought to establish the Little Victims of Merciful Love\u00a0(Piccole Vittime dell\u2019Amore Misericordioso<\/i>), a new religious Congregation which was approved in 1925 by the Archbishop of Urbino. Renata died before the Congregation got off the ground.
\nNovember 1:<\/b> the 75th anniversary of the Dogma of the Assumption. Also, the 400th anniversary of the birth of St. Oliver Plunkett.

Venerable Margaret Sinclair.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

November 24: <\/b>The centenary of death of Ven. Margaret Sinclair. \u201cMargaret could well be described as one of God\u2019s little ones,\u201d St. John Paul II said of her, \u201cwho, through her very simplicity, was touched by God with the strength of real holiness of life\u2026\u201d (Address during the visit to St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital,<\/i> Edinburgh, June 1, 1982).
\nDecember 10: <\/b>The centenary of a pivotal apparition in the ongoing Fatima story, in which Our Lady addressed Ven. Lucia of Fatima in those doleful words, beginning thus: \u201cLook, my daughter, at my Heart, encircled with thorns\u2026\u201d Our Lady asked for loving reparation in the form of the First Five Saturdays, one of the two key conditions necessary for the conversion of Russia (the other being its consecration to Her Immaculate Heart).
\nDecember 11:<\/b> The centenary of Pope Pius XI\u2019s encyclical, Quas Primas,<\/i> instituting the Feast of Christ the King.
