\nHow beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him
\nwho publishes peace, who announces good,
\nwho preaches salvation (Is 52:7).
\nCOLLECT
\nLord God, who chose Saint Luke
\nto reveal the mystery of your special love for the poor
\nby preaching and by writing,
\ngrant, that those who, even now, glory in your name,
\nmay continue to be of one heart and one mind,
\nand that all nations may come to see your salvation.
\nThrough our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
\nwho lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
\nGod, forever and ever.<\/p>\n


\nGENERAL INTERCESSIONS
\nThat the Church in East and West may preach the Gospel of mercy,
\ninviting all men and women to fix their gaze upon the Face of Christ,
\nso that the whole world may be filled with the praise of God,

\nThat all world leaders of good will
\nmay be enlightened by the Dayspring that visits us from on high,

\nIt is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
\nalways and everywhere to give you thanks,
\nLord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
\nthrough Christ our Lord.
\nYou willed that the mystery of Christ your Son
\nshould be made known to us through the Scriptures,
\nthe work of those you enlightened by the Holy Spirit.
\nThese have entrusted to your Church
\nthe words and acts of the Saviour
\nin writings that will endure
\nto be a fertile seed for all generations
\nbearing rich fruit to your praise and glory.
