CHRIST, GRACIOUSLY HEAR US.<br \/>\nCOLLECT AT THE GENERAL INTERCESSIONS<br \/>\nFeed us, O Lord, with the Living Bread<br \/>\nand make us drink of the Chalice of Salvation<br \/>\nthat, following the teachings of your bishop Saint Ignatius<br \/>\nwe may hear within the murmur of living water that whispers,<br \/>\n&ldquo;Come to the Father,&rdquo;<br \/>\nand rejoicing in the faith<br \/>\nwith which he embraced a martyr&rsquo;s death,<br \/>\nbe nourished now for that eternal life<br \/>\nfor which he yearned with all the passion of a lover.<br \/>\nThrough Christ our Lord.<br \/>\nOFFERTORY ANTIPHON<br \/>\nGR<br \/>\nYou crowned him with glory and honour;<br \/>\nand have set him over the works of your hands, O Lord (Ps 8:6\u20137).<br \/>\nPRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS<br \/>\nMay the offering of our devotion<br \/>\nbe pleasing to you, Lord,<br \/>\nwho accepted Saint Ignatius, the wheat of Christ,<br \/>\nmade into pure bread by the sufferings of his martyrdom.<br \/>\nThrough Christ our Lord.<br \/>\nPREFACE<br \/>\nIt is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,<br \/>\nalways and everywhere to give you thanks,<br \/>\nLord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God,<br \/>\nthrough Christ our Lord.<br \/>\nChrist called his martyr Ignatius into glory<br \/>\nand through the wounds of his martyrdom<br \/>\nled him to the palm of a heavenly reward.<br \/>\nAs Christ&rsquo;s true witness in holiness<br \/>\nhe freely laid down his life to die for Christ,<br \/>\nknowing that in glory his body would arise.<br \/>\nHe chose to die to this world<br \/>\nrather than to be separated from Christ,<br \/>\nperceiving that here he had no abiding city<br \/>\nbut looked for an unfading inheritance in heaven.<br \/>\nAnd so, on his feast day<br \/>\nwe join with him to adore  you<br \/>\nand in the company of angels and saints<br \/>\nwith whom he shares the vision of your glory<br \/>\nwe proclaim your majesty in their joyful hymn of praise:<br \/>\nCOMMUNION ANTIPHON<br \/>\nMR<br \/>\nI am the wheat of Christ,<br \/>\nground fine by the teeth of wild beasts,<br \/>\nthat I may become his pure bread (Ign.
