\nThe thoughts of His Heart stand from generation to generation:

PREFACE
\nIt is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
\nalways and everywhere to give you thanks,

\nhe handed himself over for us;
\nthen from his pierced side he poured forth blood and water,
