\nThree times the Lord asked Peter if he loved him,
\nbefore finding him worthy to be the Shepherd of his sheep.
\nIn succession to Peter, Christ chose Blessed John XXIII
\nto be Bishop of the Roman Church,
\nto preside in love over the assembly of believers
\nand, made strong in faith himself,
\nto strengthen the faith of his brothers and sisters.
