I intend to buy roses tomorrow: five pink roses for the Joyful Mysteries, five white for the Luminous Mysteries, five red for the Sorrowful Mysteries, and five yellow for the Glorious Mysteries.  They will be placed before the image of the Blessed Virgin during Holy Mass and blessed after the Postcommunion.  The petals of these blessed roses may be given to the sick or kept in the home as a pledge of the intercession of the Mother of God and of divine protection.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nBLESSING OF ROSES<br \/>\nIN HONOUR OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY OF THE ROSARY<br \/>\nV. Our help is the name of the Lord.<br \/>\nR.  Who made heaven and earth.<br \/>\nLet us pray.<br \/>\nO God, who are the Creator and Upholder of the human race,<br \/>\nthe Author of grace and the generous Giver of salvation,<br \/>\nwith your holy benediction +<br \/>\nbless these roses which we beg you to bless,<br \/>\nand which we offer this day in thanksgiving to you,<br \/>\nand in devotion and veneration towards<br \/>\nthe Ever\u2013Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary.<br \/>\nBy the power of the Holy Cross<br \/>\npour out a heavenly blessing +<br \/>\non these roses which you have given to man<br \/>\nto enjoy their pleasing fragrance and to alleviate sickness.<br \/>\nBy the sign of the Holy Cross +<br \/>\nlet them be endowed with such blessing<br \/>\nthat the sick to whom they are brought,<br \/>\nor who bring them to their homes,<br \/>\nmay be healed of their infirmities.<br \/>\nMay the devils depart,<br \/>\nmay they flee panic\u2013stricken with their followers<br \/>\nfrom these dwellings,<br \/>\nnor may they any more dare to trouble<br \/>\nthose who serve you.<br \/>\nThrough Christ our Lord.<br \/>\nR.
