A multitude of sick and they that were troubled with unclean spirits came to Him, for virtue went out from him, and healed all. (Luke 6, 17-19, Communion Antiphon, Votive Mass in Time of Pestilence)
ACT OF REPARATION
Laudétur † Sacrosánctum et Augustíssimum Sacraméntum in Ætérnum.
My God and my Saviour, Jesus, true God and true Man, worthy Victim of the Most High, Living Bread, and Wellspring of Eternal Life: I adore Thee present in the divine Sacrament of the Altar, with all my heart, desiring to make reparation for the indifference, irreverence, and profanations wrought against Thee in this ineffable Mystery.
Prostrate before Thy most holy majesty, I adore Thee for all the people of Ireland, begging Thee to rejuvenate in the souls of every Irish man, woman, and child, the incomparable gift of the Holy Catholic Faith. Do Thou, O Lamb of God, who didst so wonderfully show Thyself at Knock, inflame and illuminate this island of ours with the radiance and fire of Thy real presence on the altars and in the tabernacles of Thy churches. Let Thy divine power, O Lamb of God, radiate from this Most Holy Sacrament into every part of Ireland and of the world to deliver Thy faithful from the impending threat of illness, to heal the sick, and to give peace of heart to those who have fallen prey to despondency and fear.
I adore Thee for those who have never adored Thee, and for those who will never know the happiness of praising Thee. And to sanctify this adoration of mine and make it more pleasing to Thee, O my Saviour, I unite it to the sacrifice of praise offered by Thy Holy Catholic Church, from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same.
Look Thou to my intentions more than to my words: I desire to utter all that the Holy Spirit has ever inspired Thy Most Holy Mother and Thy Saints to say to Thee; all that Thou sayest to Thy Father in this Sacrament, where Thou offerest Thyself to Him in a perpetual holocaust; and all that Thou sayest to Him in the silence of His bosom where Thou art begotten from all eternity, consubstantial with the Father and with the Holy Ghost, one God forever and ever. Amen.
