Today, we had this wonderful collect (from the Maurist Benedictine Breviary) at the Hours:
O God, who hast given us thy Spouse, the Church, to be to us a mother and a teacher, grant unto thy faithful so to recognise thy voice in her doctrine and precepts; that their infirmity may be kept from every trickery of error, whilst they heed the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. Who livest and reignest with the same God and Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end.
