On Saturday, 18 June, 2011, feast of Saint Ephrem the Syrian, at the Sacro Speco Monastery in Subiaco, Italy, Benjamin J. Andersen was clothed in the Benedictine novice's habit, becoming Brother Benedict Maria. The monastic rite took place after the Hour of Tierce and before Holy Mass in the magnificent monumental refectory adorned with frescoes from the 15th century.
Brother Benedict and Brother Seraphim are with me in Rome for ADORATIO 2011, an international convocation on Eucharistic Adoration. Thirty-two nations are represented among the participants. Brother Benedict and Brother Seraphim are both actively engaged in the preparation and celebration of the Sacred Liturgy during ADORATIO 2011.
